Research Focus: Engineering nanoparticles for immunotherapy
My research goals are to determine (1) how to reduce the toxicity of nanoparticle-based therapeutics and (2) how to enhance the immune response in cancer and infectious disease using novel combinations of biomaterials and immune adjuvants. Using polymeric particles (PLGA, chitosan), I am evaluating how size and surface chemistry influence particle biodistribution, immune response kinetics, and in vivo toxicity.
